Katie Walsh is an experienced paralegal, having worked in various Colorado law firms for over a decade. Katie specializes in handling complex civil litigation, criminal, business, and family law matters. Katie is currently in graduate school, working towards obtaining her master’s degree in Criminal Justice studies at the University of Colorado Denver.

Katie’s motivation for working in the legal field, particularly in the criminal justice system, stems from a lifelong passion for social justice. Katie began her legal career by obtaining an ABA certified paralegal certificate in community college. Two degrees and ten years later, Katie is still nurturing that passion for learning about the legal system as she wraps up her final semester in graduate school.

Katie is interested in recidivism efforts in the U.S. legal system and has performed research and conducted surveys related to this subject while in graduate school. Katie is particularly interested in U.S. prison public policy reform and resource availability for post-released inmates and their families.

Outside of the professional realm, Katie enjoys hobbies such as reading, hiking, kayaking, activities outdoors, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and pets.
